Introduction of Sensing Clues
Sensing Clues, founded in 2017, is an organisation supported by 15 solution partners, 40 volunteers, and with customers in 12 countries worldwide. In 2020 we supported our customers to protect 1 million hectares of nature. We aim to double this every year for the next 3 years. This is our definition of impact!
Our mission is to turn wild spaces into safe havens. We reach that by providing NGOs with advanced data-driven technologies that deliver actionable insights to fight wildlife crime, increase biodiversity, and manage human-wildlife coexistence.
The TOOLS
Sensing Clues offers a broad tool-suite consisting of the following applications:
Cluey - a mobile application for android phones. Used by people in the field (e.g. rangers) to collect data
Focus - a web application for data analysis
WildCAT - a web application for reporting and (predictive) maps
Human in the Loop (in development) - a web application for animal classification on camera trap images
Why do we need you?
Our tools are used by people with very different backgrounds. They range from unschooled Cluey users, to data analyst and managers. Also, our tools are used across the world. We aim to keep our tools as easy as possible, so everyone can use them with limited training or instructions. You will:
Work with the development team and product owner to define the best user experience solutions
Translate requirements to wireframes and app-designs
Create process and user flows
Design mock-ups
Define improvements regarding the experience of users interacting with our products
Your skills
Proven experience as a UI/UX designer
Experienced with UX tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or Sketch
Familiar with the Agile way of working (Scrum)
English is a must; Dutch comes in handy!
A team player
2-4 hours per week availability
