“Sensing Clues has significantly enhanced our effectiveness in protecting elephants and engaging local communities.”

Wild Survivors, Tanzania - Increased effectiveness in saving elephants with bees

Wild Survivors is dedicated to protecting elephants by working with local communities to mitigate human-elephant conflicts. Through collaboration with these communities, Wild Survivors uses the Sensing Clues Data Collection App Cluey to record incidents involving elephants and document fence inspections.

The collected data is then processed through the Sensing Clues Analytical Toolbox to evaluate the best locations for beehive fences and assess their effectiveness. This valuable information guides planning for the next season, allowing the team to make informed decisions about new fence installations and improvements to existing ones, ensuring enhanced protection for both elephants and local communities.

In this video, Judith Dekkers, Operations Manager at Sensing Clues, and John Masaka, Data & Research Coordinator at Wild Survivors, explain how Sensing Clues supports their mission.
