Save the Tiger!

We are happy to announce that the Save the Tiger project has started!

The project is all about tigers, of which less than 4000 are still living in the wild.

The project is situated at the foot of the Himalayas and is aimed at sustainably providing habitat for a viable tiger population. Grasslands in this region are disappearing, which is a huge problem because they form the basis for a healthy deer population, which is among the favourite food of tigers.

To understand why the grasslands are disappearing requires a better understanding of land and water management practices in the area. The studies that will be conducted will be used to establish guidelines for sustainable management of the landscape and the water systems, using co-creation.

And that is where Sensing Clues kicks in as collaborator in the project. Its biodiversity monitoring tools are perfectly suited for involving local communities and conducting citizens science projects.
